Our wine was born in the early 1920s, being the “house wine” of Fossano’s most famous inn of the time: Trattoria del Cannone D’Oro. Its forefather Bartolomeo Gianolio delighted customers from all Piedmont and shared with his son Tomaso a passion for their homeland and its best products.

It was thanks to these premises that the “Cantina Tomaso Gianolio” activity was officially started in 1963.

The attention to the origin of the finest Piedmontese grapes – together with a careful processing of their essence – soon became their much appreciated and noticeable signature.

Year after year, Tomaso’s sons – Davide and Igor – further refined their winemaking techniques, knowledges and technologies, thus always being truthful to the original values. This refinement allowed their already successful wines to spread across the world, meeting the taste of many admirers in Europe and overseas.
